Inquiry (采购产品): Hydraulic Application Hello, My name is Dan Beilke from Hypro LLC. Your company did a seminar at our facility a couple of years ago and I have a potential application. We have a certain hydraulic motor that we have been making for many years that has had increasing problems with wear in the field. This is a gerotor style hydraulic motor and what happens is, a hydrodynamic fluid film between the OD of the gerotor and the bore of the cast iron housing it resides in. We have not figured out the exact cause, but something is causing this fluid film to break down on occasion, and when it does it leads to catastrophic failure of the housing. The bore wears out within seconds, until the motor is no longer capable of spinning, and locks up. We are trying to research a potential coating for the bearing surface of the cast iron housing. Part of the problem with this project is it is difficult for us to repeat some of the field failures in our lab, but they continue to happen. Our thoughts are to pursue a couple of avenues on this: 1. A coating on the housing that helps reduce friction or galling, or 2. A coating which increases the surface hardness and gives the housing more wear resistance. Or if possible, both.
