automotive vacuum pump/and,or vacuum gauge to read on millib Inquiry (采购产品): automotive vacuum pump/and,or vacuum gauge to read on millibars=400 to 500 millibars restoring 1985 BMW model 735, have no way to test for vacuum to operate complicated heater/AC. application uses vacuum pump which cycles on at 400 millibars to augment ehgine manifold pressure to operate some 11 vac. servoes . Problem arises because BMW vac. pump, which is supposed to shut off around 500 millibars presure, is not built for continuous running and therefore 12 vdc pump motor burns out. I am trying to remove the burnt-out motor so as to replace it whith a dependable motor, but design has defied our efforts to do so. BMW vac. pump is an add-on, and solution may be to simply relace it with a reliable vacuum pump, as there is room for a compact 12 vdc pump of 6 inches square, or so, with a height of 2 inches to 3 inches. a price of $100 to $160 dollars is ball-park. continous running is essential, as, factory BMW vac. pumps burn out if a vac. leak develops. a simple cut-out, thermal or curent, i.e. fuse or relay would do this. a market for restorers may exist.
