Composite Information Inquiry (采购产品): Composite Information Hi I write in the hope that you may be able to give me some information. I am presently undertaking a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering on a part-time basis in Somerset, England, I do this part time as my company will only permit one day a week to attend. The assignment I have been requested to do, is construct a small footbridge (this is fictional) for the use of anglers or golfers to cross from one side of a stream to the other. This will need to be environmentally friendly, extremely light in weight, with the ability to withstand the elements, long life expectancy,with very low maintenance costs, but most of all it must rigid in construction for the persons crossing. The assignment requests that I do a comparison with two other footbridges, one made of Carbon steel and the other of Stainless Steel, with detail in Ratio for local Buckling, Second Moment of Area, Elastic and Plastic Modulas and Torsion Constraints. It is the third part of my assignment I am struggling with, this is the carbon composite, hence the need for my request for your assistance. Due to the problem I have found trying to find any relevant information on carbon composites and there uses in construction. This is only a small footbridge with an overall span of 20 feet and 4 feet wide, the structure will be made of Square Hollow Section 6 by 6 by 1/2 inch but this and the other calculations can be altered on suggestion. I write asking a company of your size and expertise in the carbon composite field, for any details you can provide for my project.
