EXPERIENCE PROFILE Company name confidential Chemical - Global Automotive Business Unit (Farmington Hills, MI) 10/97 - Present Exxon Chemical is a worldwide leader in the petrochemical business with 2000 sales revenue of 20.1 billion dollars. Confidential name Chemical is a division of Confidential name Corporation. The Global Automotive Business Unit is responsible for the sales and marketing of Confidential name l Chemical’s Escorene ? PP and PE, PAXON ? and Mytex ? Polymers compounded products. (Mytex Polymers a 50/50 joint venture of Confidential name l Chemical and Japan Polypropylene). Account Manager Reports to the sales manager. Direct account responsibility to the OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers., Activities included: long range focus on new programs, OEM strategy development, OEM materials approval, market strategy development, new business development, customer relations, pricing, sales forecasting and stewardship, material recommendations, new program coordination and customer satisfaction. Current automotive account responsibility includes Honda & Toyota and 15 Tier 1 suppliers with total annual sales exceeding 55 million pounds of material. Currently working on strategic new programs with Honda & Toyota and Tier 1 suppliers which will increase sales by 20 million pounds over the next two years, by the use of affective sales negotiations. Managed the development of several new materials (products) to meet the global application needs of the Japanese Transnational Automotive Manufactures. (Interior and Exterior) Converting and Transitioning a Major J/T OEM with a new Global Exterior Material Kantus Corporation (Southfield, MI) 6/95 - 10/97 Kantus is a $158 million instrument panel systems supplier, whose parent company is Kansei Corporation of Japan, with excess sales of $10 billion. Sales Engineer/ Program Manager Reports to the sales manager, responsible for sales activities including: developing new accounts, customer relations, operating budgets, and advertising. Direct account responsibility to Nissan, Ford and GM and Tier 1 suppliers. Activities included: new business development, coordination of international business relations between the customer and tooling source, program management and customer satisfaction. Increased sales in the eight months of 1997, by $2.5 million by effective account management Increased sales in 1996, by $4 million by increasing customer confidence by the use of project management. Developed a large Tier 1 airbag systems supplier account. Which increased overall sales by $2.5 million in 1996. Improved account management to track customer needs and assign corporate accountability, resulting in improved customer confidence and sales growth. EXPERIENCE PROFILE CON’T Plastomer Corporation (Livonia, MI) 5/94 - 12/94 A $40 million polyurethane foam seals and gaskets supplier to the major automotive OEM’s. Research & Development - Responsible for developing new urethane foam formulas. Used working knowledge of urethane chemistry to achieve cost savings foam formulas. Responsibilities included developing a low density polyurethane foam at a cost savings of $200,000/ year. Process Engineer- Responsible for improving the process flow on the urethane foam bun machine which include monitoring and troubleshooting. Responsibilities included designing a process improvement to the foam machine which improved labor efficiency and reduced labor costs. United Technologies Automotive (Dearborn, MI) 6/89 - 8/92 A multi-million automotive interiors supplier to the major automotive OEM’s. Engineering Coordinator Responsible for coordinating the reprographic room including document control, interfacing with engineers and reprographic suppliers. Responsibilities include developing print room organizational guidelines, reducing yearly budget, replacing old equipment, increasing documentation flow.
