Inquiry (采购产品): Sulfuric Anodic Coating Dear Sirs, We will likely need some 14 guage aluminum parts coated in the near future. We build High Efficiency Gas Adsorber filters for government and commercial use. In this case we are trying to build carbon filters to existing Department of Defense specifications using aluminum. We are more familiar with 304 stainless steel. The government drawings call for a finish number 7.2.1 according to MIL-STD-171E which is titled “Finishing of Metal and Wood Surfaces” and it defines finish number 7.2.1 as an “Anodic Film, sulfuric acid” according to MIL-A-8625F "Anodic Coatings for Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys” Type II, Class I, nondyed. Our suppliers can provide us the two parts we need, but as yet no one can provide us with the finish we need. Since you are in North Carolina, we would very much like to do business with you. I can supply drawings of the two parts we will need finished. We estimate the market for these parts as between 3,000 and 4,000 annually; contracts are generally 5 years in length. Thank you for considering us as a potential customer. Sincerely Yours, Jeremiah Chamberlin 252.923-2911 ext 244 Flanders/CSC P.O.
