Inquiry (采购产品): Archaeological Use I am supporting an archeology program in Fairfax Country, Virginia. The quarter-inch wire mesh we currently have is not well soldered. The wires are separating at the joints. We are looking for a souce of quality mesh that will not come apart. It is our belief that the current product in hand, bought from Home Depot, is not adequate. In our use, the mesh is mounted to four-foot square wooden frames. Soil is pushed through the screen by hand to separate out potential artifacts. There is a great deal of back-and-forth pushing that the mesh must withstand without strands coming loose. In the past, this was not a problem. The screens stood up very well. The old source of quality screen material is gone, however. The screens are used for amost all excavations. Will your screen stand up to the back-and-forth type of usage our old screens withstood so well? If so, can we get a sample (5x5 foot square) to test? Screens take significant time to build and repair. This program, like others, has a continuing need for modest amounts of screen stock, but if your screen is tough and the price is fair, we would certainly share that information with the larger archeological community.
