Quote for Laboratory Press Inquiry (采购产品): Quote for Laboratory Press Wabash Press Systems I work for GE Advanced Materials - Plastics. We are currently looking for a laboratory press with the attached specifications. These specifications are al negotiable, but are close to what we currently think we need. This is a fairly immediate need as we already have two quotes and are looking for a third. We would like to have the press in operation by the end of 2Q05. Depending on how well the laboratory unit is suited to our experimental material processing needs, another within our business will be looking for manufacturing size equipment for sheet products that are 2 m x 2.5 m maximum size. The manufacturing equipment will probably require separate heating and cooling presses, since the pressure profiles are very different and will also require automated loading, reloading and unloading equipment. The number of sheets per book has not been determined, but in the laboratory we generally use five or six sheets for a total product thickness of ~60 mm plus press plates and separators. This is not a circuit board product and requires cycle times of approximately 12 min. for heating, then cooling. The production process will require the presses in addition to equipment for making then breaking the books. Our current requirements are listed below: Max. Pressure 750 psi (with ramping function, up and down) Max. Temperature 800oF (electrically heated, cooling with air or water, max. heating rate ?) Max. Usable Platen Size 30" x 50" # of Daylights 2, 4 or 6. One set of 1, 2 or 3 for heating the other(s) for cooling. Max. Daylight each 3". Mechanism for loading from heating to cooling station. Vacuum capability 10 torr within 3-4 minutes. Thermocouple receptacles (J or K, either one) min. 3/ daylight Preheat function - nice to have. Power 480V (instrumentation 120V) Parallelism (?) Safety functions Data logging capability Time, temps., pressure, date, etc. Working platform. Please call me or e-mail for any additional information. We are trying to place the order within a week or so. Obviously we will require the cost and delivery time for the laboratory system as soon as possible.
