Inquiry (采购产品): Inquiry about stainless steel pulleysheave We are a research group in Ames Laboratory, a US DOE research facility in Iowa State University. We are currently building a piece of custom equipment for the rapid solidification of small quantities (<50 gm) of metal by free jet melt spinning. In this process, a melt stream ~1 mm in diameter is directed onto a metal wheel which is rotating with a surface velocity of between 5 and 50 meters/sec. For the new piece of equipment we would like a composite wheel with stainless steel hub and spokes and a forged OFHC copper exterior ring. The width stainless steel hub is not to be more than 2". The OD of the stainless steel wheel is 16". We are looking for a supplier for either the stainless steel pulley. A sketch is attached to the message. The requirements are Total Outside Diameter 20" +- 0.1" Outer Cu ring 2' wide and 2: thick +.0.1" Shaft diameter 1.5 or 2"?? QD bushing Balance: the wheel must run smoothly at 1800 rpm. Desired operating temperature of outer surface 300-400 C (runs in inert atmosphere) Duty cycle with the wheel heated is low. An experimental runwill take less than 1 hr including heat up and cool down. Approximately 100 runs per year with the wheel heated.
