Partnership Opportunity with Nisvara for the Energy Savings Inquiry (采购产品): Partnership Opportunity with Nisvara for the Energy Savings Program Partnership Opportunity with Nisvara for the Energy Savings Program We have been selected by CEC (California Energy Commission) to demonstrate energy savings, increased cooling performance, enhanced product reliability, reduced failure rates, mean time between failures (MTBF) and higher clock speed of operation as part of the Data Center Road map and Energy Savings Road map. Lawrence Berkley National Laboratories (LBNL) is the project manager and partner in this demonstration. The technology is developed by our company Nisvara, whereas LBNL is only a project management partner. Nisvara has developed innovative thermal management and cooling solutions for electronics and other vertical markets. Our very high conductivity composites and matrices improve heat dissipation, heat spreading and thermal management of electronic components like CPU, other chips, memories, hard drives, power supplies in electronic equipment in computer, telecom, medical, aerospace, military, industrial and consumer industries / applications. Our cooling solution saves energy used in electronics. In the first phase of the energy savings demonstration program, CEC has asked us to create industry partners with special applications to rack mounted servers. We are looking for partner companies in server equipment, components (boards, hard drives, power supplies etc.), rack and environmental chamber technologies to participate in this unique pioneering demonstration program. The demonstration includes building / assembling the following three racks to be tested in environmentally controlled chambers: 1. Legacy rack from the selected server and rack vendors. 2. Air cooled rack with Nisvara cooling and energy saving technology from the selected vendor 3. Liquid cooled rack with Nisvara cooling and energy saving technology from the selected vendor We will also be looking for subcontract manufacturers / prototype companies for the following type of components: 1. Cooling components invented by Nisvara: Innovative heat sinks, heat bridges, heat pipes, heat spreaders, hard drives, power supplies, mother board and other memory components. 2. Rack modifications for air cooled and liquid cooled technologies developed by Nisvara. 3. Environmental chambers 4. Data acquisition system for collecting and analyzing temperature, air flow, liquid flow and other sensors. 5. Modeling and simulation tools at component, device, board, equipment and rack level. 6. Thermal pads, phase change material, thermal gap fillers, and thermal interface material. The first phase of the demonstration project is a one year project scheduled to start in June 2005 for one year till May 2006. The partners selected by Nisvara in this demonstration project benefit in business opportunities, technology pioneering, public relations and opportunity to show case the demonstration to all their existing and potential customers.
