Treatment of Paint Ware House Wash Water Effluent Inquiry (采购产品): Treatment of Paint Ware House Wash Water Effluent I have a client in the Gulf who wishes to recover and recycle the wash-water from tank washings in their warehouse. The wash water effluent is generated at a rate of 2500 litres/8-hr.day and is collected in an underground 15000 litre tank. A sample of the effluent indicated that ozonation is required to oxidise the organic additives to make the effluent amenable for downstream solid-liquid separations for recovery of clean water suitable for recycle. Some lab.scale tests have indicated that for an overall operating capacity of 500 l/hr., an ozonation with injection or dispersal of 100 g ozone gas per hour may be required. Should you have a facility of lab. scale testing in and around Mumbai in India, I would be inclined to repeat the tests. This could be followed by pilot scale testing at site in the gulf. However, you may quote tentatively based on the above data for an ozone generator with oxygen gas feed, and an oxygen generator from compressed air based on PSA or any alternative method of production. The effluent analyses is: COD = 36800 mg/L, Total Solids = 37440 mg/L, pH = 8.5; Dissolved Solids = 13000 mg/L. Looking forward to receiving your offer at the earliest, Percy N.
