CHQ AISI 4140 & 8640 Coils Inquiry (采购产品): CHQ AISI 4140 & 8640 Coils Dear Sir, We are the largest producer and export of High Tensile Critical Engine fasteners to Global Automotive Companies like GM, FORD, DALMIER, CUMMINS, VOLVO, HONDA.SUZUKI, JOHN DEERE etc. We have requirements for AISI 4140H, 8640H Cold Heading Quality Steels as per Chemical Composition ASTM A751 With Spheroidised annealed condition of 90 % Min with Hardness of 90 HRB Max.when measured with ASTM E18 Spec. Surface coating: Zinc Phosphating on wire rods must be 16 Grams per Meter Square or 6 Micron minimum Coating and uniform coating and coverage for Cold forming. Dimensional tolerances : As per our request on order. Cold upset test: On 2 times of upset over dia should not reveal any crack on the barrel surface. Macro Examination: No cracks or flaw is allowed on the surface. Steel shall be made from Aluminum Killed using basic Electric Arc Furnace using clean and classified scrap and Ferro alloys. Grain Size must be 6 or above as per ASTM E 112. Minimum as quenched hardness must be 50 HRC. At the mid radius of a transverse section. Material must be free from Seams, Laps, pipe, Segregation and other defects detrimental to Cold Forming and machining. Microscopic inclusion of Steels as per SAE J 422 for Silicates and Oxides and other inclusion rating should be as follows. Type A,B,C,D should be Thin 2,Heavy 1.5. Decarb – No full dearb is allowed.
