quotation request Inquiry (采购产品): quotation request Dear Sir/Madam, I would need a quotation for a custom-built isolation transformer. Here is a description of the problem I try to solve: I want to power a small resistively heated oven floating at +30 kVDC potential. This oven is associated with an ion source here at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University. Presently this oven is heated with a DC power supply, also floating at +30 kVDC; this power supply is powered with 110 VAC, produced with an isolation transformer (single phase, 110 VAC primary, 110 VAC secondary, 1 kVA, isolation between primary and secondary +30 kVDC). This power supply is controlled remotely using fiber optics and a serial interface. The ion source sometimes sparks, which can destroy either the oven DC power supply or damage the control electronics. As an alternative, I would like to heat this oven with an AC power supply, sitting at ground potential (in this case the remote control is trivial and immune to spark damage) and bringing the variable AC voltage to the oven with an isolation transformer. Because this oven is in the strong magnetic field of the ion source, I need to use 10-20 kHz AC, not 60 Hz; otherways the wire in the heater element would vibrate and ultimately break. My need: An isolation transformer, which works at 20 kHz, the primary and secondary are isolated to be able to hold a potential difference of +30 kVDC, the maximum power would be 1 kVA, the primary and secondary voltage would have a ratio 1:1, with a variable primary voltage of 0-100 VAC. Please contact me either by e-mail or phone if you need further details.
