I am working with Prof/Dr. Roger Johnson and Dr. John Brandenburg (from the Florida Space Institute) on a senior design project using Microwave Electrothermal Thruster as a new plasma technology producing thrust for space applications. We have designed our nozzle with the following dimensions: Inlet diameter of 1mm Length of converging section is 1cm Exit diameter of 3.5mm Length of diverging section is 2cm Features a half angle of 15 degrees Throat diameter of 1mm Throat length of 0.4cm We have decided to use Pyrolytic Graphite as the material suitable for this project.
