Inquiry (采购产品): Low Water Crossings I am a student at The Unicersity of San Antonio, Tx and I am perparing a proposal to the city council to upgrade the city's low water crossing prevention plan. At present the use of wooden horse-barriers are beign used and can and have been regualarly removed by people wanting to take the chance to cross the running water. Too many lives have been lost with the present system. At a local Air Force base, a system of hydraulic barriers that are built into the ground and can be raised or lowered at the appropriate time are in place at the base's gate for control through the entrance. I am proposing that San Antonio choose to put in place a modified version of these same barriers in area's where the danger is great, where there is no plan to build a bridge or where it is impractical to do so. The barriesrs are made of a hard steel and are approximately 12 inch round and 3 feet high sturctures. They are faced with reflective tape for night vision. I suggest a much smaller version, with electrical lighting to indicate whent they are up and in use. They could be placed on both sides of the street of the danger area warning cars that the water is high and preventing them from removing the barriers and endangering their lives and the lives of others. What I need from you is a very quick estimate of what this project might cost for just one location. Not only will you be helping me with my class assignment but once the propsal is completed it will be presented to our city council. I must stress that I need you reply ASAP. I apologize for the short notice or turn around, but the idea to contatact you was very recent. Thanks for any assistance you can give. Irma E.
