Will anxiously await yr kind reply. === Company Profile === Introduction The head office by the name of Ali Zenaid Trading Company LLC was established in 1990 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company represented fabrics from hand selected mills in Pakistan , India and the Far East , dealing in all sorts of apparel manufacturing fabrics such as twills , canvas , denims , jerseys , ribs and many other various qualities in woven as well as knits, catering to the apparel manufacturing industry in Bangladesh , Sri Lanka , Egypt , United Arab Emirates and neighboring Gulf and Middle Eastern regions. By 1996, the management of the company decided upon establishing a separate division which would itself be a part of the garment production sector in this industry – Park Lane Clothing was born as a sister-concerned company. By operation PLC is involved in programming logistic control over apparel manufacturing, that is, playing the role of a buying house for our clients in the United States who trust us with their valued production programs. Keeping the ever growing industry in mind and also the locations which are coming under the duty free and/or quota free to the United States , the management has wisely set up offices in different locations for effective and productive performance and service. Dubai – United Arab Emirates As the world has seen Dubai grow and be known , the city serves an amazing link between surrounding countries and the world. Regionally known as the hub of the Middle East, Dubai offers great technological , communication and transportation infrastructure which are very essential for any business operation. Accordingly, its very easy to import fabrics / trims from anywhere in the world since the government has set up easy import rules and provided great infrastructure. The industry was small before, however, since 1999, the industry has seen tremendous growth where a lot of producers are catering to the Western and European world. PLC shares great relationship with such manufacturers who have been market leaders and house a large manufacturing facility. These facilities are very experienced and financially sound to take up even larger programs which would run for months. Furthermore, the other advantage of our carefully selected vendors is that they have their facilities in Egypt , Oman , Kenya and/or Bahrain which would give us exposure in to other locations as well and help us enhance offering our vendor base to our valuable clients. Karachi – Pakistan In order to cater to our clients who prefer shorter production lead time and production of complicated styles most cost effectively, the management decided to establish an office in Karachi. As Pakistan is known for producing one of the best cotton in the world, it is time effective for the fabric to be produced in the known mills in Karachi while the garment is also made in the same city. Company has been doing business with couple of vendors who cater to our buyer’s need from weaving the fabric to the export of garments, thereby time and cost are both addressed to. Not only that , Company has also maintained business relationship with other manufacturers who are in the free zone who are able to import fabric and/or trims conveniently and duty free. The management is a paying lot of attention to this region as the world approaches 2005 and like any other player in the textile and garment industry , we are equally anxious to experience the out come of the quota free situation. Undoubtedly, Pakistan would prove to be a place of great interest for buyers of various categories in knits and woven. company has great experience and tie with mills (processing and finishing of woven and knits fabrics) who also have garment factories , thus , a complete order of our buyer is almost made under one roof. This enables good follow up , strong hold on manufacturing and deepest penetration in to every stage of production. Amman – Jordan. Jordan emerged in to the world as the duty and quota free location for the United States. Any importer who buys merchandise from Jordan need not pay any duty upon import unlike importing from other countries , while the manufacturers in Jordan face no quota ceiling to what they export to the States. Many of our clients have enjoyed and are enjoying this lucrative advantage. Jordan is currently divided in to 7 zones which are called the “QIZ – Qualified Industrial Zones” in which any garment can be imported duty free. Of course a denim jeans imported from Jordan can save the 18% duty being a cotton item, while a 100% polyester synthetic fabric import would save up to 28% duty. The cost of production here in Jordan is supposedly higher than many other countries , however, landed cost of any garment appears attractive in comparison to importing from other countries. Upon receipt of inquiries , work with vendors to conclude the best price in the interest of client / meet buyer’s target price. ? Develop samples for the styles received for client’s review or sales purposes. ? Upon confirmation of order , follow up with vendor to obtain trim samples to be sent for clients review and their approval for bulk purchase. ? Upon approvals and final Purchase Orders receipt , follow up with vendor to make sure of bulk fabric / trims to get in house on time and plan with vendor for production start up on time. ? Make sure of dispatch of FIT samples , testing samples , pre-production samples as per clients requirements. ? Hold pre-production meeting with vendor before production begins. ? Pay daily visits to the factory to review production. Issue daily inline inspections report. ? Hold inspections on semi finished goods. ? Carry out final inspections on complete shipment before the goods leave the factory. All inline or final inspections are done on AQL 2.5 basis.
