I have extensive knowledge of the Purchasing field having purchased many different items as a Purchasing Agent, Buyer/Planner. I have the knowledge to take a product from the BOM to the planning stage thru production and out the door. I can analyze and correct any problems on the line as well as with defective parts and get resolutions in a timely manner. I have a comprehensive financial understanding of the cost effectiveness of JIT and no inventory situations. I have trained in all departments in a manufacturing environment to include shipping, inventory, buying, receiving, analyzing, expediting, production line, kiting and QA this has given me an extensive ability to understand every aspect of manufacturing. My more recent Purchasing endeavor is in the manufacturing of forged metals. My responsibilities of purchasing services such as testing of finished goods for sonic, etch, and various other testing measures and machined OEM end use engine parts for the Aerospace Industry. During my most recent learning experience I captured the ability to utilize the following Lean Manufacturing skills. I established a network of outside machine shops/vendors, negotiated terms and conditions of Long Term Agreements (LTA) with outside machine shop networks, expedited materials to and from outside machine shops/vendors, discussed and obtained proper corrective actions with outside machine shops/vendors. I planed and purchased in-house tooling requirements utilizing the Visual Manufacturing MRP system and coordinating with the Tooling Design team and Engineering Dept. My most recent Planning experience is with the build of major screen printing machines. I do everything for my customer from BOM to quoting planning, buying. I have the ability to interface with proper communication skills both with internal customers, and external suppliers. I possess experience in effective and tactful negotiating skills, have the ability to read blueprints, I am familiar with CNC, and manual lathe turning, and with measuring equipment such as calipers, digital dials, venires, etc. I possess strong inventory control skills, working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and a basic working knowledge of nickel, cobalt, titanium, and stainless alloys. I am able to establish and manage budgetary responsibilities, and able to effectively supervise and manage direct reports with a hands on approach. I am well organized with the ability to work in a fast paced and high volume manufacturing environment, while managing multiple priorities well. I have a strong proficiency with Excel, Word, Windows, & Internet. Overall I am a very experience purchaser and manager. During my more recent experience is in Financial (B/C reconciliation and asset coordination) for a large manufacture of Copiers and printers. I was responsible for making sure that the Budget Center reports reflect true numbers and that the assets are tracked and maintained. I have also worked for six department heads in this organization as an Executive Assistant for the Business Services Group of the Software Development Team. I was responsible for all the needs of these people to include travel arrangements, word projects, graphs, telephones, appointment scheduling, but not limited to. Other experience includes working for a manufacture of printed circuit boards. I was responsible for the overall quoting and buying of the parts. In addition, I was responsible for expediting these parts to insure to our end customer that the boards would be completed on time for shipment. Before being promoted to a Buyer/Planner my title was Lead expediter. I was responsible for training, requiting and leading other team members. I have extensive experience using MRP and JIT. I am experienced in sourcing, quoting and maintaining and inventory of purchase parts, establishing and maintaining vendor relations, negotiating contracts with vendors, analyzing a Bill of Material to establish purchase part deliverables to meet a deadline, process and expedite PO’s to insure on time deliveries.
