Employment Opportunities Inquiry (采购产品): Employment Opportunities September 23, 2008 Dear Sir/Madame: I have seen your company website, and am confident I have qualifications you seek. From the accompanying resume, you can see that my work history covers 18+ years of positions with increasing accountability – drawing on a foundation in engineering and on-the-job experience directing people, high-level projects, and, more recently, major operating/financial functions. After 15 years with UPS, where I oversaw the upkeep of multiple distribution centers, construction work, and multimillion-dollar budgets, I was recruited by the owner of Encompass Machines Inc. (EMI) to take over a struggling subsidiary, Industrial Solutions. I was successful in changing the business model, expanding the customer base, contributing fresh design/engineering expertise, and applying financial control – leading to a steady income stream with sharply increased revenue and profitability. I rose from that position to primary management responsibility for all three companies under the EMI umbrella. Within a year, I had introduced strategies, efficiencies, and controls to bolster the progress of all corporate entities. Unfortunately, despite my extraordinary efforts, and those of my associates, EMI was struck by two crippling blows: 1) the loss of valuable expected contracts; 2) felonious financial malfeasance by EMI’s previous controller. Reluctantly, the owner had to downsize the company, and I was a part of that restructuring. My primary goal is always to help my employer and its customers operate with optimal efficiency and profitability. To accomplish this objective, I employ years of experience with strategic planning, effective resource management, and continual pursuit of process improvements. Co-workers will tell you that I am a progressive thinker … an analytical person who “gets” the big picture (especially the financial implications) and clearly communicates the message to others … and a fair and approachable manager who holds associates accountable for their decisions/actions.
