Inquiry (采购产品): removal of catfines Alternative methods for removal for Cat-fines from HFO – 966360/2 A major international company wants to identify experts / companies with knowledge about alternative methods for removal of cat-fines (aluminium and silicon) from heavy fuel oil (HFO). Currently, separators that utilize the difference in weight are used exclusively, and this technology has hardly changed over the last 30 years. Therefore the company wants to identify possible methods (existing or technologies that can be developed), which could constitute an alternative to the current method. The company itself points out the following technologies: 1. Filtering cat-fines, i.e. using Guard bed solutions 2. Desalting approaches applied at crude production and refineries (Nalco etc) 3. Water washing of cat-fines, i.e. using hydro cyclones for separation 4. Ionic liquids (to “manipulate” water density to exceed oil density) These technologies are only the ones immediately imaginable, but otherwise they are interested in hearing further about all technologies or suggested technologies that might be relevant.
