Inquiry (采购产品): Iraq Gentlemen I was the senior adviser to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil from January 2006 to June 2007. I was employed by the US State Department under the Iraqi Reconstruction Management Office which sunsetted in May 2007. I am in contact with a group of ex Iraqi oil executives who now reside in Jordon. My contact is a person I worked with during my tour and his prior position was Senior Deputy Minister of Oil. He retired from the Ministry and left Iraq in July 2007. He has joined a group of prior Ministry personnel with professional and personal ties in the Ministry of Oil They believe there is a serious need for petroleum tank inspection, tank cleaning and repair in both the south and north oil companies. Both locations have significant crude oil and petroleum product storage and due to the problems Iraq has faced in the last 20 years inspection and maintenance has not been keep current They would like to talk with interested companies about a joint venture where Iraqi personnel could be trained and do the work in Iraq. During my tour I help companies doing business with Iraq and have experience in their procurement and contacting rules and regulations All bids will be on a competitive bidding basis but their regulations produce significant time consuming reviews and possible rebid situations before a contract is signed. This is unfortunate but a fact you should know. The good news is that you can receive a 100% cash letter of credit from the Iraqi Ministry of Finance through JP Morgan so you will be paid for goods and services once contracted. The concept we would like to employ would be a joint venture where your company would make the bid. Our group would work to have you on the bidding list and we would help you with the bidding process and the employment of the Iraqi personnel who wold do the work in Iraq. Thank you John T.
