Attn: Mills (Export Department)- Finished Product Re: Joint Venture Proposal for the North American Market-2010 During this difficult market (End 2009 and 2010), we have found that most customers do not wish to take large positions on steel futures with 90-120 day delivery. We believe the best way to market steel today, is to stock material at specified ports (per our grade and size specifications), and sell during shipment and/or arrival in 40-200 MT parcels. Thereby offering customers 30 to 1 day delivery on products. We are interested in establishing joint ventures with mills and exporters for such a program. We would invest on a 50/50% basis as long as we had some exclusivity to our market (North America, including Canada). We do not want to compete with our partners. ASI has 49 years of experience in the North American market in all ferrous and nonferrous products. ASI would specify the products, grades, ports, and mutually agree on the tonnage. We suggest starting out with smaller tonnage's (1000-2000 MT-as a test for the program). If we succeed and all parties are comfortable with the program, we can increase the tonnage's later when the market picks up (mid-end 2010). In the mean time, we are building a customer base for our mill partners for when the markets recover. We split all direct costs to port/warehouses including interest, storage and handling. We also split all profits 50/50% at the completion of each shipment. Overhead and office expenses for our own accounts. Some North American companies will have to be sold on open terms (30-45 days after arrival). ASI would guarantee those receivables (payments). We credit insure all accounts.
