Inquiry (采购产品): Helical Transmission Gears To Whom This May Concern, My name is Tyler Blasdel and I am currently an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University. I have been tasked this semester with a project involving the manufacturing of vehicle transmission gears, specifically helical, and the materials used to make them. With that said, I was wondering if you have any insight on the top choices of materials used to manufacture transmission gears and the characteristics associated with each (i.e. cost and durability)? During my current research, I have come across the usage of cast iron, cast steel, and plain carbon steel due to their low cost, good machining, and high strength characteristics. I would appreciate any help you are willing to give on this topic. Respectfully, -- Tyler R.
