Inquiry (采购产品): I need battery info Good Morning: November 11, 2008 I am an educational author at Heathkit Company in St. Joseph, Michigan. We produce educational trainers and programs that are sold world wide. I am currently developing a course on Wind Turbines and this will include charging lead-acid batteries. If I have to, I will include sealed lead-acid batteries in the course, but I'd rather provide something safer. Something that does not contain sulferic acid. I have done some experimenting with lead-acid batteries that have had the acid replaced with a mixture of distilled water and alum. This seems to work just fine, but I know very little about batteries. Can one of your engineers tell me the pros and cons of a lead/alum battery? I need to know if it will freeze in the winter, what its life expectancy is, will it become dangerous later. That kind of thing. Or maybe just tell me where I can find this type of information. I will be happy to include a "Thank You" statement in my course for any assistance that you give me.
