Survey Help Needed Please Inquiry (采购产品): Survey Help Needed Please Hello, My name is Rula Kemp, economist with University of Wisconsin – Stout. I am an environmental economist and working on the development of Packaging Recycling Index (PRI). The idea is very simple but requires a lot of information gathering from different packaging companies. The index will be first developed locally (local in a sense to Wisconsin), later it can be expanded to include Minnesota, Midwest, etc. The objective of this project is to develop a “label” to indicate the “greenness” of your product. The label developed in this study would be presented as “two circles.” The first circle would represent the percentage of recovered material to construct its packaging and the second circle would represent the percentage of recyclability of the package by the consumer (postconsumer). The PRI can be represented by a color spectrum; green, blue, yellow, orange, and red. The “green” color indicates that 100 percent of the material used to construct the package came from recycled material (or 100 percent is recyclable - postconsumer). The “blue” color indicates that 75 percent of the material used to construct the package came from recycled material (or 75 percent of the material is recyclable – postconsumer). The “yellow” color specifies that 50 percent of the package is produced using recycled material (or 50 percent recyclable). The “orange” color signifies that 75 percent of the package in constructed from a new raw material (or only 25 percent from recycled material) and that consumers could only recycle 25 percent of the package. Finally, the “red” color indicates that the packaging is constructed from purely non-recyclable material (or not fit for recycling- postconsumer). The advantages to your company can be seen in many folds ; your company could use it as a public relation as to the "greenness" of their production practices. Also your company would be part of the local, regional, national and global efforts to combat global warming.
