3D Models on ThomasNet Inquiry (采购产品): 3D Models on ThomasNet I am writing to give some feedback on the 3D models available from Thomasnet.com. While I appreciate the availability of your models and find they greatly decrease my design time, I am finding some errors in your models and I thought you might like to be aware. The first thing I noticed is that the models for PLC fittings with shutoffs do not import into SolidWorks without errors. When importing as SolidWorks, IGES, or STEP 214, the models have gap and face errors that cannot be corrected with import diagnostics. Importing as STEP 203 still produces errors, but the SolidWorks import diagnostics can resolve them after a few tries. This may simply be a problem with SolidWorks, but I thought I would pass it on. The other and more serious problem, in my opinion, is that the sockets for the PLC series are modeled incorrectly. According to the model, the flat portion of the threads is on the same side as the thumb latch. On the physical part I have in my office, the flat is on the opposite side. Perhaps I have an old part (I ordered it through McMaster-Carr about a month ago), but, again, I wanted to make you aware of the situation. Thanks for listening. And, again, thanks for making the models available. Fixing these glitches is still faster than making my own models!
