Inquiry (采购产品): Underwater Conductors Good Morning! I'm searching for conductors rated and listed for continuous immersion in water. It is my understanding that the NEC classification for wet locations does not necessarily apply to continuous/permanent underwater applications. I need something less (and less costly) than a true submarine cable that will hold up for a 20 year (or greater) service life. The Particulars: Conductors: Copper, 600 V. class insulation, 3-conductor #2 - #8 AWG sizes Application: Small airport MALSR approach lighting system. Environmental conditions: On the bottom of a fresh water pond/lake, 30 - 40 ft. depth at most. Terminations: All terminations at the light stations (erected on concrete piers) will be out of the water. Hazards: In addition to continuous immersion, the lake/pond is open to public access for fishing and boating, etc. There is no risk of being struck by boats; however, I can't rule out the risks of impacts from small boat anchors, fishing line snags, etc. Do you have such a product I can specify to contractors? If so, please provide a cut sheet or on-line catalogue page reference. RSVP. Thanks. **** Hidden Message ***** Scott Lucas AJW-E14D 11 Murphy Drive Nashua, NH 03062 USA Company: FAA Title: Electrical Engineer Phone: 6038811275 Fax: 6038811419 E-mail: scott.lucas@faa.gov **** Hidden Message ***** scott.lucas@faa.gov
