No matter how hard you rack your brain you don’t remember pushing that button. How many times have you driven all the way back to your house just to visually satisfy yourself that it was closed or have to close it because your doubt was confirmed? It’s just one of those things we do routinely, day in and day out that we tend to doubt ourselves even when we think we did perform that task that we may not have. It is a heart pounding experience to wonder whether or not a door was closed or an iron or oven was left turned on. While we cannot solve all of these anxieties there’s one thing we can do. We can keep you from wondering whether or not your garage door was closed. Solution With any electronic Garage Door system there are a number of things that could occur resulting in the door being left open and exposing the garage or home to a variety of security issues, i.e. theft, in climate weather, vandalism etc… Our product eliminates these dangers by giving the property owner the opportunity to solve the problem before it becomes an issue. The system is designed to inform and alert the driver of a vehicle as to the position his garage door is in as he is driving away from his home or warehouse or business. This will allow him the choice of whether to leave the door open or close it while he is still within remote control range. It is designed as a remote device similar to a conventional garage door remote, but with an LCD view screen which indicates certain door positions. The product is designed so that if for some reason the driver was distracted when leaving the Garage and could not remember whether or not he responded to the alarm and/or secured the door, he could simply look at the remote at any time later in the day and an LCD on the remote would indicate the last position the door was in, i.e., open or closed. At this point he would have an informed opinion as to whether or not to address the situation. Here’s how it works: A Transmitter situated within close proximity of the Garage Door receives signals from sensors (located at strategic locations on the Garage Door System) as to the position of the door, then transmits these signals by means of Radio Frequency to the (remote) receiver and displays received information on the LCD screen. A 433MHz Radio Frequency is employed in the design which delivers a signal range of up to 1000 feet. This distance will allow ample time to receive the last signal before driving out of range and sufficient time for the driver to close the door if desired. The receiver will be battery powered and portable, for ease of transfer from one vehicle to another. One of the most unique features designed within the system incorporates certain timing functions to conserve battery power. We were able to accomplish this while maintaining compliance with FCC Regulations. The system sleeps between signals and re-syncs clocks after each received transmission. Additionally, this patented feature may prove to be a valuable marketing tool for other products considering today’s energy conscious consumer. It is our strong belief that the product in its current design is very marketable, especially given today’s crime laden environment. However, in addition to all the aforementioned attributes, there is another capability that we are very excited about. We are applying for an additional Patent on a design that will allow us to monitor an individual’s home or business security situation by networking our product with the person’s home computer system. This will allow us to instantly inform them (and others) of a security breach via a cell phone, PDA, or other electronic communication device. This will give the consumer more control of their security concerns at home or business and will virtually eliminate the monthly cost and (sometimes inefficient and dangerous) monitoring companies. As you may be aware, due to the enormous number of false alarms there is a national trend to outlaw the ability for the monitoring companies to contact the Police directly after a security alert. This will result in a dangerous time delay as monitoring companies will be forced to contact the consumer first and then the consumer will decide whether or not to contact the proper authorities. By directly con tacting the consumer immediately upon receiving the alarm signal, our product will eliminate the middle man and potentially save lives, property and money. In closing, the proposed product investment opportunity has tremendous problem solving capabilities. Our system also has exciting expansion possibilities and we feel it is an extremely marketable new product given the need for more security and a desire to feel safe about our lives homes and business’ . “The best new products are the ones that help people and save them money” **** Hidden Message ***** Mike Balanky 1300 Riverplace Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207 USA Company: Chase Properties Title: CEO Phone: 904-346-5825 E-mail: rlkco@comcast.net **** Hidden Message ***** rlkco@comcast.net |
