Inquiry (采购产品): need a displacement sensor Dear Sir, I am currently a French student and I work at CIGELE in Chicoutimi (Quebec) for my work placement. We are trying to build a fatigue testing machine in order to measure forces in several ice beams. We also need a sensor to measure the displacement created at one extremity of the ice beam. We think that this displacement won't rise above 1mm (about 0.04 inches) and we need to know what kind of technology is the most appropriate to measure such displacements. Actually, we'd like to measure the deflection of the ice beam at one extremity of the beam. We work with temperatures from -3 to -20 degrees C. I have found on your website an LVDT : the MHR series and I wonder if this kind of LVDT is fitted to our project (because we want to measure small displacements and the dimensions of our machine are pretty small). Can you give me more information about the best solution in order to measure such displacements ?
