Inquiry (采购产品): Equipment Needed Our monastery manufactures incense. We grind frankincense (a natural gum/resin) to a powder, mix in fragrance and water to make an aromatic dough, roll the dough flat, and cut it into pellets. We need to buy machinery that will produce our incense pellets. We need: 1) grinder/mill 2) mixer/kneader 3) extruder 4) cutter 5) coating pan (to apply a hard outer shell to our incense pellets) Possibilities: 6) cooker (to make the solution that will become the hard outer shell) 7) polishing pan 8) weighing & packaging equipment 9) conveyors 10) hoppers 11) tanks for fragrances Issues to address: 1) Our product is very sticky. Raw frankincense has some moisture content and melts when heated. The stickiness of frankincense clogs mills and equipment in general. 2) Our product is also very aromatic. We need to be able to easily clean the fragrances from the equipment so the fragrances do not contaminate subsequent batches made with different fragrances. 3) Our product is sensitive to heat. Heat causes our product to loose its fragrance. Heat will also cause our product to stick together after it is pelletized. 4) Our product is relatively sensitive to exposure to the air. Exposure to the air allows the volatiles in the fragrances to escape. Minimal exposure to the air is ideal.
