Biometric Sensor Needed Inquiry (采购产品): Biometric Sensor Needed If you can find the sensor, we will talk about having you do more for us. Sensor Solicitation to any interested biometric sensor vendor: The undersigned wish to obtain development samples of a very few suitable sensors to construct prototypes for marketing and production design of their new products. These products, for which some patents are already issued; others applied for; and extensive "intellectual property" rights of the developing scientists are already filed; will have a wide market. We realistically estimate tens of millions of units ramping up over the first three years for the first three applications. The "ideal" biometric sensor will be no more than (gross external unit dimensions) 10 millimeters wide, 15 millimeters high, and 5 millimeters deep including the cabling to the processor. The width is critical; other dimensions can vary more. For testing, we can tolerate 15 millimeters wide and 12 millimeters deep. Side pin units might work if YOU "bend the pins" to fit a rear socket. The unit must read the webprint between the thumb and forefinger, NOT a fingerprint. The production units will be used outdoors in severe environmental conditions, and must be very rugged. Shock resistance is the only real requirement in test units. An interface with Microsoft operating systems (a "driver") is a distinct plus; if you have interpretation and matching software, we will look at it. Reasonable resolution is acceptable. The unit should be fast enough to turn on, acquire and transmit an image in 50 milliseconds or so after the unit is gripped – no "warm-up" time is available in most applications.
