looking for business Inquiry (采购产品): looking for business To whom it may concern: First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my email in its entirety. I am an independent truck driver operating under my own authority, I have only one truck and one driver, me, and my wife does most of my administrative work at home. I have been driving a truck since 1999 and bought my own in 2006, and then got my own operating authority in 2007. I have hauled everything from groceries to oversize to heavy steel. I currently own a flatbed and can honestly say to this day, have never had an accident or a cargo claim. Since I have gotten my own authority, I have been hauling loads strictly through freight brokers and freight forwarders. In doing my own research and investigation, I have found out that most of these guys keep 20-35% of the freight bill for themselves for merely shuffling some paperwork and making a few phone calls, when we, the trucker are out here paying a national average of $4 per gallon and only getting 5.5mpg. We are the ones away from our families for weeks at a time and even more on an occasion. It just doesn’t seem fair to me that they keep that much, thus the reason for my contacting you. I am trying to drum up some business, if you will. Trying to build a customer base that I can help cut out the use of the middle man a bit and alleviate the recent jump in diesel prices. I do not in any way shape or form intend for this to be a sob story on my part or a letter of pity, I am simply trying to make ends meet and struggling to do so. I, as well as my family, would greatly appreciate the opportunity to do business with you. I do not know the exact nature of your business, but I will explain mine. I pull a 48’ x 102” flatbed trailer. I have sufficient experience and equipment to safely secure and cover (when necessary) any product to be hauled on such a trailer. I am primarily looking for full loads going in most any direction (West is preferred) and for the most part any distance (the farther the better), but do realize that not everyone produces full loads on a regular basis, thus the reason for partials. I have recently adopted the rule that if my trailer isn’t full, I need to find a partial to help offset the fuel costs. So, with that being said, please contact me anytime you have a partial or more needing moved on a flatbed. The last thing I feel I need to mention up front is my financial state, I do realize that most companies do not offer a quick pay or fast pay as do brokers; however, on top of the 20-35% they keep, they charge 2-5% for quick or fast pay. I am not in the financial state to be able to wait 30 days to get paid; however, I am fortunate to have access to a company that will assume the responsibility of the delayed payment for a small fee and pay me within 24 hrs. so I can keep my truck rolling. In order to do this though, I must first submit your company information to them for approval. This usually takes less than an hour, but they like for me to give them 24hrs notice, on that note, if you have any inclination of doing business with me, I would greatly appreciate us getting that step out of the way. So if you would send me your company info, I can submit that to them and hopefully we can do business in the future.
