AS a brief, General Motors Egypt assembles in its factory in 6th of October 7 models of cars :- Chevrolet Lanos (Passenger Car)-Chevrolet Avea (Passenger Car)-Chevrolet Captiva (4x4 car) 3 different sizes of Isuzu trucks + New N200 truck (visit their website www.gmegypt.com) They are dealing with CHEMETALL Middle East for "Zinc Nickel Phosphate" and passivation,…etc - See their website : www.chemetall.com And from Henkel they get the Degreasing materials. Around General Motors Egypt, there are 12 suppliers of car components that are using different types of electroplating, please see www.eec-eg.org, who are not only supplying GM, but also Hyundai, Nissan, Mercedes MCV, Temsa Buses and Suzuki Egypt. Also please see http://www.aac-egypt.com/Products.aspx who are exporting to Slovenia and Germany. GME is getting the bodies of trucks/cars plus parts of the engines from Japan/Thailand and Korea & and the get the remaining parts like :the Chassis, Exhaust systems, axles, brake systems, Brass & Copper radiators, condensers, suspension systems, engines parts, oil coolers, filters, Wheel rims, drums, discs..etc from these feeding industries factories mentioned in www.eec-eg.org. In order to be qualified as one of their suppliers, we have to ensure the following :- 1) Does pro plate products have got OEM certification ? Can we get a copy of it? 2) Who are the main automotive company you are dealing with (references) ? and what are the main products presented. 3) Do you deal with General Motors in any of the countries you are covering (or their affiliates like Opel), and do you have their approval on your product quality? 4) Do you use NANO Technologies ? 5) What is your proposal in terms of suggested process for the car components mentioned above (body, axles, exhaust system, radiators,…etc) – and data sheet. do you have brochures/presentation about your products ? 6) How we are going to deal with Technical support, or after sales service ? we need to know your suggestion or your standard for this stage. 7) From your past experience, can you advise approximately a round figures for a Passenger Car/Medium Size Truck consumption of electroplating materials ? in liter, or kgs…. 8) Generally speaking, does your electroplating chemicals enquiries special kind of storage/warehousing ? 9) What is the shelf life of these chemicals. 10)We would like to know his main competitions 11)OTD (Order to delivery) timing 12)Technical terms of contract 13)List with his main customers inside and outside 14)Has anyone from Egypt tried to contact him before WHO 15)Sales promotions and supports 16)Company profile 17)Can we link to his customers to have an idea on implementation and then we can transfer it to a similar companies in Egypt 18)Packing methods, and how can fit into containers 19)Is there any restriction on handling 20)What is the possibility to have a branch of GS company in Egypt (share) and make Egypt as a HUB to north Africa and middle east At the end, we look forward to have a complete image from you side to be able to get a market share in this aggressive market, which has huge potentials and mainly focusing on Quality German Electroplating chemicals. Secondly, I have gathered some prices about the Deutsche products in Egypt, and need to start a comparison sheet to understand our competitiveness level in the market, therefore, I need the prices of the following : - Nickel Sulfate, Boric Acid, Nickel Chloride and Nickel Anode . - Zinc Chloride, Potassium Chloride & Chromic acid. I've checked the map and I need to know your preferred Port of loading, would it be :? When we start, shall you condition a minimum amount for sales per month ? and/or we buy/consume all types of processes, brighteners, etc… or you give us a period of time as a trial – what are the technical conditions of the contract ? Is their any restrictions on handling cargo ? do you load it as part of container ? or………… Are most of the above chemicals dangerous imo 3 or there are other imo degree ?
