Inquiry (采购产品): New technology The following is information about the new airflow meter. This is a closed loop (feedback) system of optical + electronic + magnetic + mechanical. Airflow goes through a pipe of 20mm diameter. A pin of 0.8mm X 0.5mm X 15m is standing still in a diameter of the pipe. The closed loop system is at a side of the pipe. Output current or voltage from the closed system is strictly proportional to force of airflow on the pin. Average size of the closed loop system size is about 10mm X 10mm X 12mm. There is no turbine. Output value for airflow is showed by a current/voltage meter or digital display. The advantages of the new airflow meter are as follows: a) The new airflow meter has excellent sensitivity. The minimum response can be less than one liter per minute. A airflow meter with turbine is not as sensitive because the heavy turbine causes more friction on the axle. b) The new spirometer is very accurate for low velocity airflow. A spirometer with turbine is not as accurate to low velocity airflow due to significant friction on the axle. Friction depends on many varying factors. c) The new airflow meter is very accurate for high velocity airflow. A airflow meter with turbine is not as accurate to high velocity airflow because the turbine adds too much resistance to airflow due to large area of vanes and heavy turbine. d) The new airflow meter has fast response to change of airflow because it senses force. A airflow meter with turbine senses turning which has a time delay from action of force. And the large inertia makes the delay longer. e) The new airflow meter adds almost no resistance to airflow due to small size of the pin. This is an important feature for all measuring instruments. f) If the new airflow meter is used as spirometer, the structure makes it much easy to handle condensing water from breathing by heating up the tube and the pin to human temperature. g) The new airflow meter has wide measuring range: from less than one lpm (liter per min) to thousands lpm. Decreasing the pin will increase the maximum measuring range to infinity. h) The new airflow meter is also a good apnea monitor due to its excellent sensitivity. I) The new airflow meter can be used for different gas, including corrosive gas. j) The new airflow meter can be very small and light. This will increase it’s applications.
