Inquiry (采购产品): Supply of railroad Frogs and other castings Dear Sir, We introduce ourselves as one of the largest manufacturers of Railway castings in India looking to offer high quality CMS Crossings ( Frogs)and other castings to any design at most competative prices Hindusthan Engineering & Industries is a pioneer in the manufacture of Cast Manganese Steel Crossings (Frogs) in India and has supplied several thousands to various specifications and designs in the past 25 years. The Steel foundry (50000 Sq M covered area) one of the largest in the country and located in Dankuni, 25 Kms from Kolkata, India is ISO 9001-2000 certified and has a capacity to produce 4000 MT of Steel castings/month. Facilities available in the plant include Green Sand Molding lines and No Bake Molding Line. The Green Sand Molding line has heavy BMD Jolt Rollover Machines and a BMD Sand Slinger Machine with automatic mold transfer and rollover pattern draw equipment. The No Bake foundry has a 40T/hr Continuous Mixer supplied by IMF with a fast loop line. Two Arc Furnaces of 16 MT & 18 MT capacity each supplied by GEC (now Daneili) and Brown Boveri ( now ABP) have a capacity to make 270 MT of steel a day. The laboratories are equipped with a vacuum emission spectrometer, facilities for chemical analysis, sand testing, micro-structure analysis and physical properties. Facilities for radiography , ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing and die penetrant testing are available in house. Process control, including measurement of liquid metal temperature, heat-treatment parameters, quenching time are accorded high importance.. The foundry has a machine shop equipped with heavy duty Plano Millers, Horizontal Boring Machines, and is well experienced in the machining of CMS Crossings. The company has also recently acquired technology of butt welding of rails to CMS Crossings and is installing a Schlatter welding equipment for carrying out same. Hindusthan Engineering also manufactures complete turnouts in another plant near Kolkata and is the largest supplier in India. The company has exported products all over the world and has won the “excellence in Export” award 11 years in a row from the Government of India.
