Inquiry (采购产品): laser welding Hello, We are looking to weld three stainless steel pieces together to form a fairly small cylindrical vessel, of sorts. It will be ~6" in length, and ~1.5" in diameter when finished. The first two materials are flat. The first is a 6"x6" piece of thin SS foil (thicknesses we have are 0.002"-0.006"; alloys 304 and 347). The second is a SS wire mesh (0.08";304;1"x1" square openings; 12"x12" total size). The third is a 1.5" i.d. SS conflat flange (for hooking up the finished vessel to a UHV system; 2.75" o.d.). We would like to have the foil welded to the mesh, and then have that curled up into a cylinder for subsequent welding to the flange. Traditional welding/brazing hasn't worked (as I take it the thin foil is the main problem here), and we've been told to try laser welding. Also, the finished unit has to be completely airtight, and *hopefully* will not implode when hooked up to the ultrahigh vac. Please let me know if your company can handle this kind of a project, and perhaps a ballpark estimate of cost/time. Call or email anytime if you would like further details.
