Inquiry (采购产品): Aluminum tubing I could use both a quote and some advise. I have spent the winter building a sailboat and now need a mast and boom. The mast needs to be 21'1" overall but in two pieces. The top section must be 2" in diameter and have a .058 wall and must slip into the bottom section. The be made from the same material and while I don't have the exact length yet I think it will be about 8ft. These requirements are a matter of the sail design and cannot be changed. It has been suggested to me that I use 6061-T6 material. So there is my problem. I would love to be able to do this with scrap or even used material, if it existed, as I am already way over budget on this thing. What suggestions can you make to reduce cost. Can the end of the top section be formed to slip easily in and out of the bottom section which of course must be a larger diameter with a compatible wall thickness. Any help would be met with my great thanks.
