The Region of Waterloo Invites You Inquiry (采购产品): The Region of Waterloo Invites You Good morning, The Region of Waterloo is pleased to invite ATS Automation Tooling Systems to take part in this year’s Commuter Challenge. The Commuter Challenge is a fun, week-long friendly competition between Canadian communities and organizations to see who can give our cars a vacation and celebrate cleaner air, saving money and better health. During the week of May 30 – June 5, 2010, employees from organizations around the region and across Canada will walk, jog, cycle, in-line skate, take transit, telework or carpool to work. Why should your organization take the challenge? ?Reduce your carbon footprint to show you care about our environment ?Help reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in our community ?Promote a healthier lifestyle for your employees ?Lower the cost of getting to work each day ?Create team spirit in your workplace and have fun while doing it Plus, if your organization has the highest participation rate, you will be recognized! All employees who participate have a chance to WIN PRIZES and can take pride in knowing that they made a difference by choosing to give their car a vacation. It’s easy to participate. All you need to do is choose one person to be a workplace coordinator at your organization to champion green commuting options. Your workplace coordinator can participate in a briefing session to gather information on how to spread the word in your organization and record results online. We will provide your coordinator with all the support they need, including marketing materials, sample e-mails, website support and prizes. We will also calculate the winners and give a final tally of the kilograms of pollutants that were saved through your organization’s contribution. In 2009, Waterloo Region placed 6th in Canada and 2nd in Ontario. More than 1,433 individuals from 63 organizations in Waterloo Region actively participated in the event.
