Inquiry (采购产品): Tempered glass Will a thin optical quality mirror, say, 10 inch diameter by 1/2 inch thick be able to hold is figure through the tempering process--either (1) heat tempering or (2) chemical tempering? My need is for strengthened glass which isquite rigid, and well able to resist significant flexure (that is greater than about lambda/20). this wouold be for mirrors supported at the center only (rather than with typical multi-point flotation cells with three to 18 points of contact on the back surface, and3 to 9 edge restraints. Second question. If a moirror can be strengthened either by heat or chemical means, and hold its surface figure, can such a hardened glass surface accept coatings such as vacuum deposited aluminum, enhanced aluminum. sputtered silver, and/or various dielectric coatings. **** Hidden Message ***** Thomas B.
