Charlotte Rescue Mission Inquiry (采购产品): Charlotte Rescue Mission I am writing in hope’s that Casco will support Bella Tunno’s Annual “Extreme Mission Makeover” for the Charlotte Rescue Mission (www.charlotterescuemission.org). The Charlotte Rescue Mission is dedicated to helping people overcome drug and alcohol addiction. We are a planning a one-day even in March 2009 and are focusing on turning an unused basement into 6 dorm rooms and a bathroom. This area is part of the half-way house for clients that have already done their 90 day program as well as their vocational / education training and they are working towards supporting themselves. Building these 6 rooms will allow 24 clients / year that would not otherwise have an opportunity to go through the program a chance. Bella Tunno is committed to donating a portion of EVERY sale to drug and alcohol-related recovery, education and prevention programs. Due to the owner’s brother’s 13 year fight (and eventual defeat) with drugs and alcohol, we never sell a product without giving back and hopefully giving someone else a chance. We have worked with the Charlotte Rescue Mission for the past two years and love what the program is doing to change lives and offer new chances. www.charlotterescuemission.org It is a privately funded program with success rates that rival the highest in the country. They are working hard to eradicate drugs and alcohol from addicts’ lives but to also grow self-worth, offer training for vocations, give families back their moms, dads, brothers, sisters and make our community a safer place to live. They are truly working miracles on very limited funds. It is a 98 bed shelter with a connected half-way house and always has a wait-list. In 2007, Bella Tunno led the ‘Let’s Make a Miracle’ campaign at the Charlotte Rescue Mission with the goal of providing a holiday miracle to each and every client. It was a great success and a rewarding program. Along with Simmons Mattress, Samaritan’s Feet, 2nd Harvest Food Bank and Mountain Khakis (just to name a few) we were able to deliver personal presents to each client. This year, we have changed our focus and we want to get the community involved. Due to the excitement around this project and the large number of volunteers, we will also do non-skilled projects like painting the exercise area and landscaping. Most importantly, we will get the community involved and we will hopefully grow awareness, and in turn, ongoing aid for the great work the CRM is doing. I am contacting you to find out if you will be involved (at any level) in this project. We are seeking any ‘sealed’ mattresses you may be able to donate or provide at a discount. Six mattresses will help us with our project and as I mentioned will benefit 24 clients as they head down the road to recovery. The Charlotte Rescue Mission is a non-profit, so any donations are tax deductable. We are so excited to do some good and would love your help!
