heating glass Inquiry (采购产品): heating glass Hello Sir, My name is David Anderson. I am Ph.D. chemist, formerly Senior Research Scientist at AlliedSignal (Honeywell) and Senior Staff Scientist at Motorola. Recently, I am partner and equity shareholder in a new Taiwanese company with a unique technology. We can deposit a submicron film of semi-conductor onto glass or ceramic and then, by applying voltage and current, the resulting film acts as a resistive heater. There are many advantages of this technology including the following: 1.) Vapor depositing on complex 3-d surfaces. 2.) Excellent thermal contact between heating element and substrate. 3.) Generally better efficiency of heat transfer. 4.) Excellent acid/base resistance, relative to metal heating elements like Nichrome etc. 5.) High wattage density, up to 12watts/square cm = 77 watts/square inch. We have commercialized this technology for some small consumer appliances like hair dryers, space heaters, re-chargeable handwarmers, etc. We are seeking to develop our technology for industrial heating applications. We believe our technology can provide advantage in many circumstances to chemical process engineers. We can make custom heating elements, and we can make high volume production of any given design. I am in Chicago, but can be available to make an in-person presenatation and technology demonstration to interested parties. Please call me anytime if you are interested.
