Custom metal fabrication for boardroom furniture Inquiry (采购产品): Custom metal fabrication for boardroom furniture Hello-- I'm writing to make see if you would be interested in bidding on custom metalwork for the custom boardroom tables and other furniture we build. Your website is interesting, and full of high-end work, so it seems like a possibility. We build conference and boardroom tables, plus other associated boardroom furniture, such as credenzas and lecterns. Many of these items have stainless steel, bronze or brass components, both functional and decorative. I'm sending this info by email because it's easier for me to list the sorts of work we subcontract to metal vendors; I'd be happy to talk to someone on the phone about any of the details. Here are some of the typical metal we need fabricated: --metal inlay for table tops: 1/8" x 1/8" or 1/4" x 1/4", with brushed or polished top edges. Brushing needs to be very consistent, as the inlay joins end-to-end at the tabletop KD joints. Often we need curved pieces; we would furnish full-size panels with grooves routed in them (by our CNC router) for you to fit to. --metal inlay plates: 1/8" thick x 3-10" wide x 1' to 8' long, typically. These are often combined with: --metal-door table top access hatches: 3" x 3", or 6"--10" wide x 8" to 24" long, typically, with single or double metal lids on pivot hinges and cushioned stops for open and closed lid positions. The lids and frames need to have very consistently brushed finishes, sometimes with specialty coloring such as statuary bronze. Often these are part of inlay bands, so brushing on the hatches and frames needs to match the adjacent inlay. --curved metal inlay: we often make elliptical tables with inlay bands 3-10" wide, which need to be brushed and finished parallel to the curved shape. We can furnish .dxf files if you cut with CNC equipment. --metal table frames: we attach (typically) 1/4" x 2" metal edges to the edge of veneered panels, or to plywood subtops, which then have insert panels of plastic laminate, faux leather or stone attached. Sometimes these are individual tops, perhaps 30" x 60" rectangles; sometimes they are multi-piece rectangular or curve-shaped tables. This is typical of the metalwork; as a custom shop the range of work we get asked to do can vary even farther. We like to have our subcontractors help us solve technical problems, furnish finish samples, build prototypes etc. to work with us to meet our customers' finicky demands.
