Miniature Headphone Grommets. Inquiry (采购产品): Miniature Headphone Grommets. I am Chuck Tooley, age 83. More than a decade ago I built a couple of shirt-pocket hearing aids for personal use. They are monaural. Normally I used only one tiny earphone in the ear. In the past couple of days I bought a quality set of ear-pieces which were wired for stereo. I cut off the sterio plug and rewired them to monaural with monaural plug. Pure murder with my remaining eyesight because of four wires involved, each contained about ten wires, size less than human hair. I got it done very successfully, but could not keep them in my ears. I had some old plastic, panel-mount grommets which proved to be excellent except they were too hard on my ears due to hardness and minimal flexibilty. I need a few soft rubber types in the same size. These grommets have ID 5/8", OD 1-1/8", Thichness 5/16". They do not need a panel-mount slot in the center of the outer rim, although it would not be an issue. I am unable to locate softer rubber types in this locality. Six of them would last me for the rest of my life. I was an engineer in heavy industry and am very responsible about paying any outstanding bill. I had lived in the US Naval Home at Gulfport, MS but am displaced from hurricane-Katrina while a new Naval Home is being built on the same grounds. Who knows? I may be giving you a new marketing application. Hundreds of thousands of these miniature head-sets are sold in places like Wal-Mart and you might sell four related grommets right beside them for $2-3.00. Just reasonably soft rubber types which won't bend ear contours out of shape to extreme ear discomfort. I will be very happy to pay you for them upon receipt, if you can provide my needs.
