Inquiry (采购产品): PETK?M refractory coating Dear Sir, As Petkim Petrochemical Company we have a steam and power production facility (http://www.petkim.com.tr/Petkim_eng/index.jsp?git=fabrika&urun=20&go=43). Capacity: 4 boilers, 350tons/hour XHS each Engineering and Supply Contractor : Mitsubishi Heavy Ind.Ltd. / JAPAN, Natural gas modifications: Ansaldo Caldaie / ITALY Start Up Date: 01.01.1984 Main fuel before modification: Fuel Oil No:6 Main fuel after modification: Natural Gas( If required also Fuel Oil, Fuel Gas, Hydrogen, Residual Gas) Last year we changed the fuel of our boiler system. We were using fuel oil no6 before modification. After some modifications performed by contractor company Ansaldo Caldaie we started to use Natural Gas. If it is essential we can use also Fuel Oil and the side products of our petrochemical process like Fuel Gas, Hydrogen, Residual Gas which accounts 10 % of the total fuels. Using natural gas causes some problems at the stack refractory. The problem we faced; when it is cold outside (lower than 10 oC) that we encounter in last winter, refractory material at the stack flit from the top of the stack. We think this is ocurring because of the condensed H2O formed by combustion of natural gas. H2O soften the refractory material and dissolve. Some of the dissolved refractory material goes up from stack to the air and some of them falls down and form a mass at the bottom of the stack. To solve this problem stack gas temperature was increased but erosion was continuning. We are searching for a coating matarial to prevent refractory material inside of the stack from the problem given above. In addition to this, the coating must also be resistant to SO2 and acids environment in the case of fuel oil usage is requried (some times we have to use fuel oil includes high amount of sulphur).
