Inquiry (采购产品): Heliostat Field Project I mentioned I am interested in discussing a project with you. We are developing a design and eventually ( spring 2009) an installation for a concentrated solar power heliostat field. Within the field that may be 1 to 1/12 square miles are in the neighborhood of 30,000 heliostats. A heliostat is a structure resembling a highway billboard sign that has mirrors on the face. It rotates in two axis and reflects the sun onto a tower. The mirror surface area is about 40 square meters. I am interested in a budgetary quote for poles, or in this case we refer to it as a pedestal. Approx dimensions would be 13 -14 feet above the surrounding grade with a flange welded atop to mount a drive. We are still looking into vibrating a foundation in the ground vs. auguring a hole and burry/backfill with concrete, so there may or may not be a bottom flange…. Attached is a picture of an older heliostat located in Barstow, CA from an early Department of Energy funded study. Please have someone contact me if you are interested in helping us out and providing an early budgetary quote. Also we may be interested in engineering services as progress through the design phase if you offer this. I do have some preliminary wind load numbers attached as well. Our requirements for the pedestal are as follows: Operate in winds up to 35 mph with no more than 1.5 mrad deflection Allow heliostat to skew to horizontal position in winds up to 65 mph with no permanent deflection Survive 90 mph winds in horizontal position with no permanent deflection. Please look at the 40 square meters loading for this inquiry and use a relatively square model with the center of the area centered at the top of the support. I'm happy to discuss further and appreciate your interest. We are presenting our proposal July 9 and any information you may be able to provide would be appreciated. I do list the companies I have worked with in the presentation if that is ok with you, if you would rather I do not simply let me know….. Regards, Mark J.
