Inquiry (采购产品): Maintenance I am attempting to find out if there is an industry standard regarding the maintenance of old 1/4 inch plate glass stationary windows. The windows in question were installed in a hotel in 1960. There has been an excessive amount of window breakage over the years. The windows complied to local code in 1960 but are certainly outdated. There has never been any form of maintenance performed to the windows such as perimeter caulking or resealing. I read where the windows should have been been re-caulked after 15 years and again at 30 years, but I can't find an industry standard listing this process. These windows became very fragile over the years and would break when minimal pressure was applied.
