Inquiry (采购产品): custom Fan? Hello, I am bidding a little job for NASA, the Eng. has specified a Loren Cook mod. 20HEF-D, the power source is 480V, 3ph. The existing fans (3 of) are belt drive and they are not very efficient plus there are maintenance issues. So the Eng. wants direct drive with high eff. TEFC motors (gold motors). The delivery spec. is 4230CFM @ .25SP with a 3/4 HP motor. The Loren Cook fan has aluminum expanded screen filters in the inlet. The problem with the Loren Cook fan is that it weighs 520 lbs and it is too expensive in my estimation. The 20HEF-D is a curb mount which is correct for the application. The eng. has agreed to consider an alternative as long as it is direct drive with a Gold motor. I am thinking someone should be able to produce a simple box fan/blower, down discharge, loovered filtered inlet, with easy access to service the filters and blower in a semi commercial quality that doesn't weigh over 200 lbs and is a lot smaller than that Loren Cook fan.
