Inquiry (采购产品): Thickness measurement of hard chrome on stainless steel Here at the research and production facilities of Atomic Energy of Canada ltd in Chalk River Ontario Canada, we sometimes need to know the thickness of the hard chrome coat on stainless steel. We need this information before renewing the surface and then polishing it down to the requisite smoothness. I have a paper (Thickness Measurement of Chromium Layers on Stainless Steel Using the Thermoelectric Method with Magnetic Readout (TEM))from Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal. The paper was co-authored by Michael Hekli of Hartchrom AG, Steinach, Switzerland. Since the paper was published in 2005, the technique may have reached some level of commercialization.
