Inquiry (采购产品): timing belt for detachable chairlift I am working at a new detachable chairlift system; a possible solution is to use really long timing belts to accelerate, decelerate and drive the carriers inside the lift stations. This system is designed for the first lift manufacturer in the world. The temperature and wear problems should be similar to the snowmobile ones, but the belt speed is really low and probably it is possible to use joints to close the belt. The transmissible power, using a conservative safety factor, and peripheral speed table is: Belt # 1 power 10 kW - linear max. speed 5 m/s length about 24 m Belt # 2 power 4 kW - linear max. speed 1 m/s length about 50 m Belt # 3 power 3 kW - linear max speed 1 m/s length about 24 m Belt # 4 power 4 kW - linear max speed 2 m/s length about 6 m I used the D20M power grip data; in any case the bigger the teeth are the better. Since I am in Europe until Friday evening please do not call me by phone, but e-mail me how I can submit you some drawings and specifications to know if the timing belts way is a possible one.
