Inquiry (采购产品): Clemson Formula SAE Chassis My name is Michelle Phillips and I am the Team Leader of Clemson’s Formula SAE team. We are interested this year in getting our chassis laser cut, and I was wondering if I could get a quote. I would also like to know the lead time it would have, as well as what exactly you need in terms of format for the tubes themselves (entire chassis vs. individual tubes; *.iges, *.step, or *.stl; part or drawing files; etc.). We should be able to accommodate whatever will make the process go as fast as possible. The chassis is 4130 steel with wall thicknesses ranging from .035 to .092. The majority of the tubes are round, but there are a few square pieces. The roll hoops and majority of the bottom section we will make in-house, giving a total number of around 70 tubes to be cut. Formula SAE is a student design series where we custom design, fabricate, and compete our own small open-wheel race car against teams from around the world. Because our team is student-run and in charge of raising our own funding, I am wondering if we could work out some sort of sponsorship.
