We currently use approximately 1800 kgs every three weeks. We purchase from a supplier in Vancouver who imports from China for us, however the product is inconsistent. The above precursor is used in our forestry product used for fighting forest fires and in controlled prescribed burning operations. The potassium permanganate is ultrasonically welded and permanently encapsulated into a ping pong ball-like plastic sphere, then loaded into a dispensing machine mounted in a helicopter. They are then primed and dropped to the ground where they gently ignite.
