Inquiry (采购产品): Welding cast iron clock Hello! I have a cast iron street clock made by Howard Clock Company. It is almost 100 years old, weighs about 2000 pounds. It was the first street clock in Fort Worth, 1911. The neck is broken, not shatterred. The pieces are stripped down to only the cast iron casting. The pieces together are about 1500 pounds. I can transport the pieces. Can you weld it back together? My understanding: The two pieces would have to be heated before welding and cooled very slowly in order to avoid cracking.
